Choices

Choices: In Genesis 13:8-18 we read God's Holy Word concerning the choices of Abram and Lot. V. 9 "If you take the left, then I will go to the right;or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left." Reading the context of Genesis 13:8-18, we can understand their choices: Lot chose the evil, wicked choice of Sodom and Gommorah, while Abram chose the Godly choice of "the land of Canaan." What follows will be written about in future blogs! The choices were clear to both men! Why did Lot choose the evil, wicked one, as many do today?
What kind of choices are we making in our lives? What are you going to choose to do tonight, Friday night? Good Godly choices or drinking and partying with others, living wickedly! In our non-decisive culture, this writer prefers to underline a decisive life as much as possible. Choices can be made in prayer and through regular Bible reading! We are given choices everyday. Let this writer close with a decisive passage in the Old Testament in Joshua 24:15 "choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." What or who is your choice? If you want to choose to serve the Lord, please write or comment on this blog! Writer, Jim Kultau
